Our Belief
At Sujalaam, our vision is embodied in the concept of aatmaNEERbharta—where "AATMA" means "self," "NEER" signifies "water", and "BHARTA" represents "reliance". We aspire to a future where everyone manages their water needs independently, encompassing consumption, wastewater, and stormwater management. Our goal is to keep water resources local—water from homes remains at home, water from villages stays within villages, and water from farms is retained on farms. Our story began with Mr. Setu Shah, coming from a real estate industry background, driven by a deep passion for water conservation and sustainability. Witnessing the pressing need for sustainable water solutions, Mr. Setu founded Sujalaam over 15 years ago, dedicated to rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge. Combining his industry expertise with an unwavering commitment to the environment, Setu built Sujalaam into a leader in water sustainability. Shukla is a retired Superintending Hydrogeologist from GWSSB, Government of Gujarat, and former advisor to WASMO.
